I wrote this song late one night when I was trying to figure out what to do in my class the next morning. I ended up teaching it to my students along with a simple samba percussion piece. I was so happy when Brazilian percussionist Geraldo de Oliveira recorded its complex samba rhythm and when bassist Christ Andronis and Brazilian guitarist Paulinho Garcia heard it they also wanted to add to the track. Thanks to them my Samba idea really came to life.
